Napoli linked with move for Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez

Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly preparing a transfer offer for Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez this January, according to the Daily Echo.

The 22-year-old who signed for the Saints from Bologna last summer, is reportedly considering his future at the St.Mary's and is understood to be keen on a return to Serie A.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez is keen to strengthen his side's midfield department inorder to challenge for the Serie A title this season, and Ramirez is considered as one of the club's top targets.

The former Bologna man scored five goals for the Saints last season.
