Arsenal goalkeeper Damien Martinez signs for Sheffield Wednesday on a one-month loan deal

Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday have signed Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old Argentine shot stopper has moved to Hillsborough in a quest to gain some first team football experience, as he currently finds himself way down the pecking order at the North London outfit, with the likes of Wojciech Sczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and loan signing Emiliano Viviano all prefered to him by manager Arsene Wenger.


Martinez who joined the Gunners from Independiente in 2011, featured for the club during the pre-season tour of Asia during the summer.
