Corinthians invite Arsenal and Tottenham's Pato pursuit

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are in the race to sign Brazilian international forward Alexandre Pato in the January transfer window and now Pato's club director at Corinthians, Roberto Andrade, has invited a transfer bid from both London sides.

Pato has struggled to reproduce the form that made him one of the world's most feared forwards and Brazil's best young prospect in recent years. A failed spell at AC Milan saw him return to his home country with Corinthians and now the club's fans have been giving the player grief for a perceived dip in form.


Tottenham and Arsenal are both reportedly in the race for Pato's signature and both London teams have been invited to make an offer.


In a television interview, Andrade said: "If these clubs are interested in Pato (Arsenal and Tottenham), it can happen this January window."
