Norwich City target Ola Toivonen looks set to sign new deal with PSV Eindhoven
PSV Eindhoven technical director Marcel Brands has expressed confidently that the club's star striker Ola Toivonen would extend his contract with the club in the near future.
The 27-year-old Swedish forward has been linked with a move to Premier League minnows Norwich City during the winter transfer window, with his current deal with the Eredivisie club set to expire at the end of the season.
Brands believes that Toivonen will sign a new deal with the club, and will hold discussions with the player's agent before the World Cup qualifying play-off against Portugal.
"(Talks) were agreed last week when Mino was in America," Brands said. "We need to see if we will meet or speak by phone. That word (deadline) is not applicable. We have made the appointment, which Ola agreed would happen before he joins up with the national team."
