Liverpool join race to sign Yohan Cabaye

Liverpool are reportedly readying a January bid for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The former Lille man was the subject of a transfer bid from Arsenal during the end stages of the summer transfer window, and missed a few matches after stating that he was not mentally fit enough to play for the Magpies. 


The Northern Echo reports that the Reds could test the resolve of the Tyneside club with a January bid for the talented Frenchman.


Liverpool will have to fork out around £18m to acquire the services of the player.
