Napoli to bid for Liverpool midfielder Lucas?

Rafa Benitez is ready to raid his former club Liverpool to sign Brazilian midfielder Lucas. According to reports, the Italian club are desperate to sign a defensive player in January and Benitez is ready to pay up to 15 million Euros to sign Lucas.

Lucas, who has been a first team regular at Liverpool under current manager Brendan Rodgers, is happy to stay at Anfield but is believed to be flattered by the interest shown in him from Napoli coach Rafa Benitez.


Talk of a 15 million Euro offer is sure to concern many Liverpool fans who see the player as an important member of the first team.


However, it has been reported that Rodgers is ready to reject all bids for the player that he values at closer to 25 million Euros.
