Cardiff City and West Ham United tracking Alex Fernandez
Premier League clubs West Ham United and Cardiff City are reportedly set to battle it out for the signing of Espanyol starlet Alex Fernandez on a temporary basis during the winter transfer window.
The La Liga outfit are apparently willing to let the talented youngster leave the club on loan, in order to get some first-team football experience, but are demanding a £500k fee from the player's suitors, as per The Mirror.
21-year-old Alex Fernandez, who hails from the famous La Fábrica youth academy, has represented Spain at all youth levels , and was named the player of the tournament in the 2011 Under-19's European Championship.
