Former Gunner Yossi Benayoun joins QPR on a short-term contract
Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of former Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old Israeli International has been training with the West London club since his release from Chelsea during the summer.
Despite interest from clubs in Spain, the talented midfield star opted to remain in England and sign for the Hoops, who are currently in second place in the Championship table.
Manager Harry Redknapp revealed his delight at the signing of the former Gunner, who was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the English manager's reign at White Hart Lane.
"Yossi is a good footballer, a top-class player. He's got great ability and is someone I have always liked. I actually tried to take him to Tottenham at one time. I think he will be a fantastic addition to the squad." Redknapp said.
Benayoun could make his debut for the Hoops against Blackpool on Saturday.
