Pogatetz needs surgery

Middlesbrough's Emanuel Pogatetz is likely to require knee surgery. The defender has gone for several scans on his knee which revealed the need for surgery.

This leaves Middlesbrough with several problems ahead of the new season as Riggott, Woodgate and Huth are all struggling with injuries and unlikely to start the new season.
