Gallas wants captaincy

William Gallas has now moved to state that Arsenal could be a threat in the Premiership this season. A series of players at Arsenal have commented on this season's chances, The club has sold its talisman Thierry and Arsenal still need to sign players this season. Also, Gallas has also stated that he would be honoured to be selected the next Arsenal captain after Thierry Henry's departure. Gallas stated he wanted more responsibilities for Arsenal and the national team.

Gallas has suggested that Arsenal play fantastic football but need to do the easy stuff well rather than elegantly. The defender has also said that they need to battle early on in the season and not get too far behind so early.
