Manchester United rule out move for new striker
Man Utd manager David Moyes has ruled out a January transfer move for a new striker, insisting that he has the attacking resources available already to compete for the title in the new year.
With an injury to Robin van Persie, many tipped David Moyes to spend big in January. However, Moyes has now told reporters that the club are well covered in the attacking department: "We are not in desperate need of an out-and-out centre-forward.
"It’s easy for people to throw up names, but you have to look at it closely. We’ve got Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck and Shinji Kagawa can play in behind a front man, too, so we are well covered."
