Arsenal and Liverpool monitoring Lille star Salomon Kalou

Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to be preparing a bid for Lille forward Salomon Kalou in the January transfer window.

The former Chelsea striker, who has scored 20 goals in 47 appearances for the former French champions, was linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer.


The Mirror reports that the talented Ivory Coast international is keen on a return to the Premier League with a top club in January, having rebuffed offers from West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion last summer.


Roma and Besiktas are also understood to be monitoring the player's transfer situation.
