Nemanja Matic to quit Benfica; Chelsea monitoring situation

Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic is ready to quit Benfica in favour of a move back to the Premier League. Matic has told his agent to help him find a move to England and Chelsea are amongst the teams interested in the talented playmaker.
The 25-year-old spent two years playing for Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, before making a move to Portugal to join Benfica.
Since the transfer Matic has gone on to become one of Europe's best young midfield prospects. Several top sides are currently searching for a new central midfielder -amongst them Chelsea and Man Utd - thus Matic is reportedly a target for both teams.
Matic's agent is rumoured to have contacted Benfica directors to tell them that his client is anticipating a move elsewhere this January and that a move back to the Premier League is his preferred option.
