Chelsea defender Oriol Romeu wants Valencia stay

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu is considered to be eager to stay at the Mestalla for at least one more season.

The Spanish midfielder who joined the Valencia on loan from the Blues in the summer, is expected to make way from the club at the end of the season.

However, the former Barca man is keen to stay with Valencia for another year, and has hinted at the possibility of a permanent transfer.

"My position is as I've always said, I want to be here, I want to give everything to Valencia, have a great year and finish the season well," Romeu said.

"When the season is over, we'll sit down and talk. I've always said that I want to be comfortable where I am and happy. I will fight to stay for another year, or however many more."

Romeu has been a regular for the team over the past few months.
