Sunderland agree fee for Liam Bridcutt
Sunderland have apparently agreed a transfer offer to sign Liam Bridcutt from Brighton & Hove Albion during the winter transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
The talented midfielder, who had earlier been denied a transfer request, will make the move to the Wearside after the Seagulls accepted a fee of £2.5m for his services, following weeks of speculation over his transfer situation.
Bridcutt looks set to be reunited with Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, having been together at Brighton for the past few seasons.
The 24-year-old Scottish international joined the Sussex club from Stockport County in 2010.
