Fulham eye move for Everton centre back John Heitinga

Fulham have made an approach to sign Dutch defender John Heitinga. The player has been linked with a transfer abroad but now the Everton man could join the Cottagers on loan.

The defender has fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park and is now set for a surprise move south to Fulham. The versatile defender is expected to make a transfer away from the Toffees but would prefer to leave on a long term contract as opposed to a loan.
