Shaqiri open to summer switch

Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is apparently looking for a summer exit from the club, according to his agent.

The talented Swiss international, who joined the Bavarian outfit from FC Basel in the summer of 2012, has failed to cement a regular spot in the starting line-up under manager Pep Guardiola, and his frustration could result in a move away from the Allianz Arena during the summer transfer window.

Erdin Shaqiri, who happens to be the brother and agent of Xherdan, has revealed that the likes of Inter Milan, Liverpool and Manchester United have shown interest in his client in recent weeks.

“He needs to play consistently and, at the moment, this isn’t possible at Bayern,” Erdin said.“Could he leave? There are clubs like Inter, Manchester United, Liverpool and others who are interested.

“If they confirm their interest, then we would be prepared to listen to offers.”

Xherdan Shaqiri scored 9 goals in 40 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich so far.
