Carlos Vela to make Arsenal return?

Real Sociedad star Carlos Velas is understood to be keen on a summer exit from the club, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

The talented Mexican international has had a very good season at Anoeta and has been monitored by several top European clubs.

 

El Mundo Deportivo suggests that Vela's future beyond the current season is in doubt, as Sociedad are currently nine points off fourth-placed Athletic Club, with a game hand, and likely to miss out on a Champions League qualification spot.

 

La Real may be induced into cashing in on the player during the summer, and it is believed that Arsenal could have the upper hand as they have the right to trigger the player's buy-back clause of £3.5million.

The Mexican international has notched up 15 goals and 11 assists in 39 appearances for the club this season.
