Inter Milan confirm interest in Chelsea star
Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has admitted of the club's willingness to land the signature of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres in the upcoming transfer window.
The Spain international joined the Blues from Liverpool for a club-record fee of £50m in January 2011, but has since failed to replicate the form that once ranked him among the best strikers in Europe.
Following a trophyless campaign under manager Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese is likely to ring the changes, and Torres could leave along with the likes of Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o this summer.
Ausilio confirmed that the Nerazzurri are interested in landing the former Atleti star.
"Yes, he is a player we're following. Torres's career speaks for itself — the titles he has won and the teams in which he has played. It's all about whether he has the right motivation and the desire to be part of a new ambitious project." He said.
