Tottenham Hotspur to swoop for Toby Alderweireld

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly pondering over a summer move for out-of-favour Atletico Madrid centre-back Toby Alderweireld this summer.
According to The People, Spurs scouts have recommended the signing of the former Ajax man to new manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is keen on bolstering the club's fragile defensive setup in the transfer window.
It is understood that Alderweireld's departure from Vicente Calderon will depend on whether the La Liga champions can keep hold of their star defender Miranda, who has been linked with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea in recent weeks.
Atleti's Diego Godin is also believed to be attracting interest from top European clubs.
