Arsenal will not re-sign Carlos Vela

Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela is unlikely to rejoin Arsenal this summer, according to The Mirror.

The Gunners are in the transfer market for a top-class striker in the summer transfer window, and reports had suggested that they could look at the option of re-signing Carlos Vela using the £3.5m buy-back clause in his contract.

However, this looks not to be the case, and The Mirror claims that the North London club would even sell the Mexican striker on his unlikely return to the Emirates this summer.

Vela notched up 20 goals for Sociedad in all competitions last season.
