Di Maria might move to the Arsenal this summer

Arsenal are reportedly the favourites to buy Angel di Maria in this summer's transfer window.

The Real Madrid star is open to a move to England this season but he is not willing to go to any of the Manchester clubs as he he is reportedly not a fan of the city.

He has a costly price tag of £40 million which is close to what Wenger splashed out for Mesut Ozil last summer (£42.5m) and will give Madrid a healthy profit on the £25m that they paid Benfica four years ago.

Argentina international Di Maria scored the winning goal yesterday in their Round of 16 clash with Switzerland in extra time leading his team to the quarter finals where they will play against Belgium.

Angel di Maria has been an asset for Real Madrid with another superb showing in the Champions League final (he was named the Man of the Match) as well as in the run up to the Copa del Rey final. 

The prime threat to Wenger is reportedly the French giant PSG who might lure him to Paris with their hefty pay.
