Everton are looking to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba on a season-long loan.

After the successful loan-spell of another Blues' striker, Romelu Lukaku at Everton, Roberto Martinez is reportedly plotting a move for Ba. A big obstacle to the loan deal is  £80,000 a week wage demands for Ba and Everton are hopeful that Chelsea pay a part of the deal.

Romelu Lukaku worked wonders for the Toffees last season, with the Belgian scoring 15 goals and finished the season as club's top scorer.

Ba cost Chelsea £7m in January 2013 and has scored 14 goals in 51 appearances for the London side. With the arrival of Atletico Madrid's striker Diego Costa to Chelsea, Demba Ba's chances of being selected for the first squad will be limited.

Lukaku is reportedly moving to the Spanish league winners Atletico Madrid.

On 8 April 2014, Ba scored an 87th minute goal in the Champions League quarter-final second-leg against French side PSG to send Chelsea through to the semi-finals.
