Nicklas Bendtner to join Aston Villa on a free?

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly closing in on a switch to Aston Villa, according to reports in Denmark.

The talented striker is currently out of contract following the expiry of his contract at the Gunners.

According to Danish paper BT, the midlands club are in deep negotiations with the player's agent Tom Brookes. However, the 26-year-old looks unlikely to join Villa this summer unless they offer a minimum wage structure of 50,000 pounds per week.

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are also monitoring the Danish international.
