Liverpool set to sign Atletico youngster on loan

Liverpool are reportedly set to announce the signing of Atletico Madrid defender Javier Manquillo, according to The Mirror.

The talented right-back has been linked with a temporary switch to the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool interested in his services.

The Mirror claims that the 20-year-old, who played six times for Atleti in their title winning run, will sign for the Reds on a two-year loan deal with an option to make the move a permanent one.

Manquillo is considered to have the potential to sweep into the Spanish national setup, following their dismal campaign in the World Cup finals in Brazil.
