Man City midfielder Javi Garcia rules out Napoli move

Javi Garcia will not be moving to Napoli, despite reported interest from the Serie A club. The player's agent has insisted that the Spaniard is to stay at Man City next campaign.

The defensive midfielder had been suggested as an option should a Napoli deal for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva fall through.

"I am not involved in any negotiations involving Javi Garcia and Napoli. The information that has been published in the last few days has been completely false," said Garcia's agent. "We have never even talked about this possibility. Again, I'm not dealing with this operation at all, I absolutely deny all false reports of negotiations."
