Man Utd concerned about striker's latest injury

Manchester United are reportedly concerned by the latest shin injury sustained by striker Benjamin Sesko.

The Slovenian had a good debut season with the Red Devils with 12 goals, but he was sidelined in May with a shin issue.

Sesko subsequently missed pre-season with United, but returned in time for the new campaign under manager Michael Carrick.

The striker was recently absent for the trip to Fulham and it is now claimed that he has suffered a similar shin injury to last season.

Sesko required almost three months to return to team training last time around, and United are genuinely concerned at the moment.

If Sesko is not deemed fit after the international break, Carrick could choose to go with Joshua Zirkzee as the main striker.

Zirkzee was very much touted to leave United during the last transfer window, and may get the opportunity to redeem himself.

Carrick could also play Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford or Bryan Mbeumo as a makeshift striker against Tottenham Hotspur.
