Former Man Utd midfielder joins Chennaiyin FC

Former Manchester United midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba has completed his move to Indian Super League outfit Chennaiyin FC on a free.

The 33-year-old made 20 league appearances for the Red Devils between 2003-2005 before joining Aston Villa.

The Cameroon international has been out of contract since his departure from St Mirren at end of the last season.

Chennaiyin FC player-manager Marco Materazzi confirmed the arrival of the talented midfielder alongside Haitian striker Jean Maurice Edu.

"We are happy to sign Djemba Djemba and Maurice. Both are top players and will add plenty of quality and experience to our team," He said.
