Arsenal to make £10m bid for Basel star?

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a January offer for FC Basel defender Fabian Schar, according to Metro.

The Swiss international, who was associated with a switch to the Gunners over the summer, is said to be seen as the perfect fit to solve the club's defensive crisis.

The Metro claims that the 23-year-old is looking for a fresh challenge away from Basel.

In addition to this, the Gunners could make a bid of around £10m for the player's signature when the transfer window reopens in January.

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League.
