Arsenal eye loan move for Shaqiri

Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in signing up Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri on loan from Bayern Munich in the winter transfer window.

The talented forward has failed to cement his place in the first-team at the Allianz Arena this season in spite of being the stand-out performer for his national side at the World Cup finals in Brazil over the summer.

According to The Mail, Shaqiri could seek a temporary move from the Bavarian giants in the upcoming transfer window in order to prove himself on the world stage.

The report adds that Arsenal and Liverpool could battle it out to sign up the Swiss maestro on a short-term deal in the New Year.
