Enzo Maresca slams Liam Delap after red card vs Wolves

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has slammed striker Liam Delap following his red card against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last night.
The Blues progressed to the last eight of the competition following a 4-3 win over the Midlands outfit. However, the game was not without drama.
Delap made his long-awaited comeback from a hamstring injury in the second half, but did not finish the game after receiving two yellow cards in the space of seven minutes.
Speaking after the win, Maresca said that Delap absolutely deserved the sending off and it was a stupid foul from the England youth international for his second booking.
He said: "Absolutely, yes [deserved]. A stupid foul. He deserved that. I can understand the red cards against Brighton and United, but against Nottingham and today, we can avoid that."
As a result, Delap will be suspended for the Premier League derby against Tottenham Hotspur on the road. It could be a costly one for the Blues, who are yet to find a consistent marksman.
The Blues are languishing ninth in the table with 14 points, three behind the Champions League spots. They will be determined to return to winning ways in the London derby on Saturday.
