Shorey rejects contract

Nicky Shorey has rejected the offer of a new contract at Reading. The England international defender is set to reject the deal in the wake of interest from several clubs including Tottenham, West Ham and Sunderland.

Steve Coppell has announced that he is not worried about the contract rejection and has revealed that he has a further 2 years to run on his contract and Shorey will be staying for that period.
