Liverpool plot stunning move for Arsenal youngster

Liverpool look set to make a move for one of Arsenal's promising young stars, according to a report.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be keen on adding a new striker to his squad in the current transfer window, and considers Arsenal's Chuba Akpom as one of his main targets.

The England Under-20 international is yet to start a league game for the Gunners, and The Metro claims that Liverpool could swoop for the player's services before the closure of the January transfer window.

In order to fend off interest from other clubs, Arsenal are understood to have offered a new deal to the 19-year-old.
