Stoke City and QPR battle for Adebayor

Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City are to battle for the loan signing of Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Heading into deadline day, QPR are believed to be the favourites for the player.
Adebayor has fallen out of favour with Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino and has been told he can leave. French clubs have shown some interest in the Togo striker but no official bid had been received from a Ligue 1 side. QPR manager Harry Redknapp phoned Tottenham yesterday and made an official inquiry for the out of favour striker. The Premier League strugglers will also be able to sign Adebayor on a free in the summer.
