Schalke open to signing World Cup winner
Schalke boss Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that he is open to the prospect of signing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira in the summer.
The German international's existing deal expires at the end of the season, and he has been on the radar of top European clubs.
However, Di Matteo has insisted that would be open to signing the World Cup winner, should he be interested in the transfer.
"Khedira? We all know he's a great player." He said. "If he wants to join us, our doors are open to him. He's a world-class footballer."
Premier League clubs in Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been previously linked with the player's services.
