Winston Reid signs new long-term deal at West Ham United

New Zealand international Winston Reid has inked a new deal to keep him at West Ham United until the summer of 2012.
There had been much speculation that the talented defender could exit the Hammers on a free transfer at the end of the season, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur interested in his services.
However, Reid has put cold water to the rumours by signing a new long-term contract with the East London outfit.
"At the end of the day, for myself I feel comfortable here. I was speaking with the Joint-Chairman David Sullivan and everybody and felt like I was valued here." Reid told the club's official website
"He was clearly very committed to getting the deal done and keeping me at the Club, so I'd like to thank him for that and I'm delighted to sign for the next six years."
