Man City tracking Diego Simeone

Manchester City will consider the option of signing Diego Simeone as their manager, according to The Mirror.

Simeone has had a fantastic spell at Atletico Madrid, having helped the Basque outfit earn their first La Liga title in 18 years.

The Mirror claims that the former Argentina international will sign up a contract extension to keep him at Atleti until the summer of 2020.

The report adds that the new deal will not deter City's motion of making a summer move for the 44-year-old.

City are currently second in the Premier League, six points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
