Ballack: happy to be back

Michael Ballack has spoken of his delight at finally returning for Chelsea in midweek against Liverpool in the Carling Cup. Ballack could have a small role to play in Chelsea's game in the Premiership on Sunday

"I think it was a great moment for me," Ballack told the club's official website.

"It was exciting and emotional, a new feeling, after a long time out.

"To get this support from the fans, I have to say thank you to everyone who supported me, the doctors, the physios, the players.

"That's a big motivation for me to help Chelsea in the next weeks and months."
