Gaitan has been long linked with a switch to English top tier, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea keen on his services.

Reports in Portugal cite that the player's representatives Jorge Mendes and Luis Felipe Vieira are currently in crunch talks with a mystery Premier League club regarding a potential summer move.

Gaitan has scored four goals in 34 appearances for Benfica this season.
