West Ham still in Alex Song pursuit
West Ham United have not given up on signing Barcelona midfielder Alex Song on a permanent basis, according to co-chairman David Sullivan.
The former Cameroon international spent last season on loan at the Hammers, and was impressive for the first half of the league campaign.
However, he failed to maintain form in the New Year, and this played a big role in the club's lack of progress in the league standings.
Sullivan has now insisted that the club are still keen on landing Song's services, and are hoping that the former Arsenal star can return to the sort of form he displayed at the start of last season.
West Ham United will ply their trade in the Europa League next season, having topped the Premier League's Fair Play League.
