West Ham make final bid for Alex Song
West Ham make final bid for Alex Song
West Ham have tabled a final offer for midfielder Alex Song. The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at the Hammers, favours a permanent transfer away from Spain.
The Barcelona star enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign last season, but he struggled in the second half of the campaign. Initially, the Hammers were refusing to match Barca's hefty 15 million price tag, but West Ham have now made a counter offer of 6. 5 million euros. Barca are open to all offers and have told West Ham that there is also interest from France; with Monaco understood to have made an enquiry, whilst German side Bayer Leverkusen have also made their interest well known. The Hammers have told Barcelona that this bid will be their last offer for Song.
