Steven Gerrard hails Liverpool signing
Former Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has hailed the signing of striker Danny Ings from Burnley.
The Reds are expected to sign Ings when his contract expires at Turf Moor on July 1.
Gerrard has now admitted that the Merseysiders have got a great signing in Ings, and he could prove to be a top striker in seasons to come.
"The Ings one I'm really excited about because he can be what he wants to be - I know the talent's there, he's very young, he's fresh," He told the club's official website.
"I think if he carries on learning and developing he can become a top striker and we love top strikers, so it's there for them, the stage is there and I wish [him] the best of luck and I'm looking forward to watching [him] play."
Liverpool will pay a compensation fee of around £7m to sign the England Under-21 international.
