Tottenham monitoring Carl Jenkinson?

Tottenham are reportedly planning an audacious bid for Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson. The full back spent last season on loan at West Ham and now the Gunners' bitter rivals Spurs are to make a shock bid for the defender.

Jenkinson has been told that he is still considered an important part of Arsene Wenger's long term plans, but the youngster will struggle for first team action with the recent emergence of Hector Bellerin. Mathieu Debuchy is still considered an important member of the first team squad as well. Tottenham are looking to add at least four new players to their squad in the summer months, with defensive acquisitions their top priority. Arsene Wenger is likely to drive a hard bargain in any Tottenham pursuit of his players.
