Romelu Lukaku linked with shock Man Utd transfer

Belgian international Romelu Lukaku has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Manchester United this summer, according to The Sun.

The talented striker joined Everton from Chelsea last summer, following a successful loan spell during the 2013/14 campaign.

However, he failed to make a similar impact in the Premier League last season, and scored just ten league goals for the Merseyside outfit.

The Sun reports that United boss Louis van Gaal was impressed by the striker's outing in the Europa League where he scored 8 goals in 9 games, and this could pave way for a summer offer from the Mancunian giants.
