West Ham bid for Dimitri Payet

West Ham are understood to have made a formal bid for Marseille midfielder Dimitri Payet, according to a report.

The France international was linked with a move to the Premier League two seasons ago, but he opted to stay in Ligue 1 with Marseille.

The Telegraph now claims that the Hammers are keen on bringing Payet to Upton Park this summer, and have made a £14m bid to land his services.

Payet has scored 15 goals in 83 games for Marseille since his move from Lille in 2013.
