Newcastle United enter race for Yevhen Konoplyanka
Newcastle United are the latest club to show interest in signing Ukrainian international Yevhen Konoplyanka during the summer transfer window.
The talented midfielder is a free agent once his contract at Dnipro expires on July 1.
Konoplyanka has been heavily linked with a move to the English top tier, having missed out on a deadline day switch to Liverpool last summer.
Stoke City were understood to have finalised a contract with the 26-year-old, but The Mirror reports that the Magpies are ready to battle it out for the player's services.
Konoplyanka played a crucial role in Dnipro's Europa League campaign, as they eventually lost to Sevilla by a 3-2 scoreline in the final.
