Man City to bid for Man Utd target

Manchester City are ready to hijack Manchester United's move for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.

The Argentina international is expected to leave Los Che this summer, with interest high from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Reports now reveal that the Citizens are ready to rival their arch rivals and make a bid for the former Porto star.

It is added that City could be willing to match Valencia's asking price of £35m for the talented central defender.

Otamendi is expected to decided on his future once he returns from the Copa America in Chile.
