Southampton target Ron Vlaar

Southampton will look to sign free-agent Ron Vlaar following Tottenham Hotspur's signing of Toby Alderweireld.

Alderweireld opted against a move to St.Mary's and joined Spurs on a five-year contract from Atletico Madrid.

Multiple reports now state that the Saints will look to move in for Netherlands international Ron Vlaar, following the expiry of his contract at Villa Park earlier this month.

Vlaar is keen on remaining in the Premier League and is expected to decide on his future in the upcoming week.
