Southampton agree Jordy Clasie fee

Southampton have reached an agreement to sign up Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie this summer.

The Netherlands international has a good season with the Eredivisie outfit, and this has attracted interest from a whole host of clubs including Manchester United.

However, The Star cites that the Saints have sealed the deal by making a late bid to beat German side Schalke to his signature.

Clasie is expected to have his medical in the next 24 hours.

Saints are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of £12m to sign up the 24-year-old playmaker.
