Sunderland approach for Younes Kaboul
Sunderland approach for Younes Kaboul
Sunderland have contacted Tottenham Hotspur over the availability of defender Younes Kaboul following their failure to sign Nicolas Lombaerts.
The Belgian defender was expected to make his way to the Wearside this summer, having seen both clubs agree on a transfer fee.
However, the 30-year-old snubbed the opportunity to join the Black Cats during the transfer window.
The Times now claims that Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat has told the club's officials to discuss a deal for Spurs centre-back Younes Kaboul.
Kaboul's future at White Hart Lane is in doubt following the arrival of Kevin Wimmers from FC Koln.
